Stories

"Youth for Christ showed me how to cope with pain as a Christian, helped me connect with friends, helps encourage others to be a stronger Christian, and showed me that I have accountability."

Holland, LSA Campus Life

"My walk with Christ has definitely improved since being a part of Youth for Christ. It has become a consistent part of my week and has helped me stay on the path that I need to stay on. It has helped me know the difference between right and wrong, and I know that what I’ve learned at YFC will continue to help me for a long time.."

JJM Youth

"Growing up, I was involved in church and even did the gospel choir, but I never had a personal relationship with God until recently. Campus Life helped me realize that. I now pray to God more, read my Bible more, and seek out that relationship with Him."

Kadiri, OHS Campus Life

"Youth for Christ has helped me get closer to God as well as myself. It means a lot to have people come out and spend time with us!"

JJM Youth

Sally's Campus Life Story

"I’m Sally Boswell. I’m 14 years old, and I’m in 9th grade this year at Auburn Junior High School. I haven’t been going to Campus Life that long, but with the experience that I’ve had so far, I’ve really enjoyed it. All of the people that come are really nice. I knew three people in the group before joining Campus Life, and they made me feel really comfortable in the group. They are the ones that told me all about club and invited me. When I did join, I got to know other people pretty quickly. They were all so welcoming with open arms.

At club, we get to talk with people about God, play fun games, and have meaningful discussions. It’s overall an amazing experience, and I’m really happy that I started going. The first time that I came, the main leader said, 'Each time you come here, you will learn a new tool, and then we’ll put that tool in the toolbox. But, the tool isn’t useful unless you take it out to use it.' That just really stuck with me because if you have a toolbox full of different verses and different things that you’ve learned at Campus Life, you can always remember that you have them to use in life. We’ve also been learning that when you pray to Jesus, he’s there and he will listen. He is the bread of life, and you can turn to him in any situation.

The Campus Life leaders are all super nice. When you speak up at club, they all pay attention to exactly what you’re saying. They will make sure to involve you in the conversation, and they encourage us to say what’s on our mind. I feel like Campus Life makes more people become friends. The people that come may not have met each other or hung out otherwise. It’s good to know that the people in Campus Life have the same morals and values as you do, and because of this, you feel like you can click with them no matter how old they are.

I’ve gotten closer to God since joining Campus Life. Since Covid hit, we didn’t get to attend church that much, so I started to drift away from him. But I really wanted to get closer to Him, so that’s why I joined Campus Life. It’s helped me a lot, and I feel a lot more cheerful."
